Being part of the community can support confidence, friendships, independence and overall quality of life. Our community participation services help participants access activities and experiences that are meaningful to them while receiving the level of assistance they require.
Participants may choose to attend social events, recreational activities, community programs, shopping trips, local attractions or other suitable activities based on their interests and personal goals. Support can be provided individually and adapted around different abilities and preferences.
Community participation can also help participants strengthen social and practical skills. Everyday experiences provide opportunities to practise communication, make decisions, meet new people and become more familiar with different environments.
Choice remains at the centre of our approach. Participants are encouraged to decide which activities interest them and how they would like to participate, helping them build stronger connections with their community while increasing confidence and independence.
